Summary of Alternate Fuels

Alternate Fuel is any type of fuel that is different from standard gasoline or diesel fuel. This includes liquefied natural gas, compressed natural gas, and hydrogen. The alternate fuel that is most commercially viable is Compressed Natural Gas, CNG. CNG is simply the natural gas supplied from local utilities compressed to 3,000PSI or higher. It is this compression that allows for enough gas to be stored onboard a vehicle to be comparable to standard fuel. At this time natural gas is relatively inexpensive in comparison to diesel fuel, i.e. 2/3 the cost. We believe Alternative Fuels are the way of the future.
